I'm James

 

I have been fascinated with psychology and human behaviour for as long as I can remember but it took the birth of my eldest daughter for me to have the courage to pursue my passion. 

I have been fortunate to be coaching clients for over 13 years now as part of my consultancy business, Hooper-Rees, and also as an Executive Coach at London Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business. 

When I started out on this journey, I received some great advice by a psychologist mentor, who encouraged me to "get as many flying hours" as possible...and that's exactly what I have done. I have over 20,000 'flying hours'. 

I have supported leaders, and their teams, globally from fast growing start ups, such as Hugging Face and Contextual AI, to large corporates across multiple industries, including, Google, Amex, GSK, USAF, Salesforce and KPMG. 

One of my strengths is my observational skills, helping individuals uncover details in their patterns of Thinking/Feeling and Behaviour that have become so normalised that it is hard to spot. 

One of my core values is Trust and this helps both my clients and myself create an environment that is ideally suited to support their development, both personally and/or professionally.
